Be a part of our conversations. Post a comment. Blog for us.

Posted by Lisa Robbins in Arts & Culture

Our bloggers get people talking about Jewish issues that matter.

Be a part of the conversation!

There are two ways to speak your mind and participate.

#1 Pick a blog topic of interest and share your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of the posts that interest you.

#2 Audition to be a blogger.

Here’s what you need to know to audition to be a blogger on Let My People Grow:

–Please send us a sample blog post of something we might run, in addition to an outline of a few additional topics you’d want to write about on the blog, what your position on those topics would be, and what sources you’d plan to incorporate into your posts.

Here are some other basic things you should know:

-Our blog is a national initiative, so we’re looking for writers to write on things of national Jewish interest and appeal with some connection to Jewish something.

–We pay per post and we pay monthly.

–We are looking for writers who want to blog on a sometimes basis. The way the flow seems to be working, people are writing once or twice a month.

–Keep in mind, we are trying to reach an unengaged, unaffiliated, non-religious audience — ages 13-34. So we are looking for writing on topics that will appeal to the general, youngish Jewish population.

– Our goal is to inspire conversation, and we think we can do that with short, quirky pieces from people around the country, so we are looking for shorter pieces in general (although you’ll note some of our pieces run longer, which is sometimes necessary).

–If we think there’s a good fit, we will let you know, and proceed from there.
